*What do maps contribute to governance & sustainability that numbers alone never can?
*How do the world's busiest people study a deep issue in an hour and choose whether to network collaboratively around it for ever more? I realise this looks a bit too simple. One contextual issue is that at the start of the year we held a collaboration cafe in Dhaka where we listed the 20 tools citizens most use to openly interconnect their deepest innovation queries:   summits, virtual platforms, project hubs, youtubes, yahoogroups, universities,  .... and asked who (which cities) knows who to interface these around world changing methodologies like microcredit); what methods or cultures do great collaboration cities use that poor ones dont?  We also published our intitial findings in a world citizen guide that was handed out at a 700 person collaboration meeting in london

Which experiments for humanity are peoples in your nation celebrating most openly? Why have the conventional ignorances of entrepreneurial revolution got worse every year since we started questioning them in The Economist of 1976!  St James ER study circles : 1 2 3 4 5 6

What happened after one nine year old new yorker asked a tough question -WallstreetJ; FastCompany; Number10 Downing Street - mail info@worldcitizen.tv

Replay of question 23 January 08, NY

"The crisis is here... this is also an opportunity to rethink the whole system (of local & global) -how to make it happen so we do things we know humans truly need and you and I know how to do", and question what UN*US don't yet know how to do..

Capitalisms Galore 1 2 3 4 5

gosh I would like to see the world share a map of the different capitalisms and work out which ones are systemised to end the world and which to sustain it
my own core belief is in capitalism that goes micro to inter to macro not the other way round which most of globalisation economics is mathematically spinning; oddly my dad who worked 40 years at The Economist forecast in 1984 that we'd need a nobel laurreate helping us to map out 30000 community rising and open projects by 201o to be sustainable http://www.normanmacrae.com/netfuture.html
so I will go for the future capitalism maps in the new book of DR Yunus - these work at all 3 levels from micro up - his 30+ years of building http://microcredit.tv is quite widely known; his latest idea that those grassroots organsiations like grameen and brac that have 30 years of micro up experience can be partners for global corporations in discovering each industry sector's deepest responsibility to humanity has the simple brilliance that merits another Nobel this time for economics which alrways needed to be peace's other half

I think this is vital but if one searches its emergence , there's a lot of junk as well as good

it seems to me that the 2 biggest missing pieces in educational curriculum involve empowering youth to experiment in sustaining small teamwork projects in the commnunity; and then if these turn out to be close to your own deepest ability to serve others, to provide mentor and peer support geared to helping work out how to make incme generating activity out of your service focus (what true microcredit does)

what seems to make this hard is that schools typically dont begin to give any experience on this and laws may actually forbid or make this complicated-however small scale the fusion between schooling and banking that could be designed in

I expect youth microfinance to become one of the big issues Dr Yunus would like to share ideas on- interestingly this is as relevant to developing youth capabilities in the less glamorous suburbs of new york as it is in developing countries

we are starting slowly on the new york potential for this but would love to share ideas across places chris macae us tel 301 881 1655
