Which is your favourite 100 word challenge from Yunus new book on Future of Capialism? Poverty exists because we have built our philosophical framework on assumptions that underestimate human capacities. We have designed concepts that are too narrow: 1 credit-worthiness which automatically eliminated the poor 2 entrepreneurship which ignores the creativity of the majority of people 3 employment which relegates humans to passive receptacles rather than active creators 4 development of institutions that are half-complete at best – eg banking and economic systems which ignore half the world ... Poverty exists because of these intellectual failures rather than because of any lack of capacity on the part of the people.
